This scheme is used to filter search results from the Scopus database. Classification is done by in-house experts at the moment the serial title is set up for Scopus coverage.

Conference coverage on Scopus is focused primarily on those subject areas where conference papers represent a substantial portion of published research, e.g., engineering, computer science and some areas of physics.

Publishers can suggest their books for Scopus coverage via the Scopus Books Suggestion form. Books will only be considered for evaluation if they meet the following minimum criteria: All books must contain ISBNs. All books must be available in digital format (PDF or xml). All metadata must be captured in ONIX or MARC.

Content Coverage Guide. Scopus is a source-neutral abstract and citation database curated by independent subject matter experts.

Scopus covers conferences that publish full-text papers, i.e., document type conference papers (see section 3.1), whereas conferences that publish only abstracts (meeting abstracts) are not considered for coverage.

All journals covered in the Scopus database are reviewed for sufficiently high quality each year according to four types of numerical quality measure for each title; those are h -Index, CiteScore, SJR ( SCImago Journal Rank) and SNIP ( Source Normalized Impact per Paper ).
