918+ for me is on arrival with additional 8GB modul (12GB in total) and 2 Samsung 960EVO nvme modules for cache (250GB each). SSDs for cache will help in general considering that I will have a single volume on this box and VMM will be hosted on it.
31.08.2020 · 718/918 have a bit slower CPU then the new 720/920, but running it on an SSD NAS vs a stronger NAS with HDDs I still had an "OK" experience with it. The biggest problem that remains is still the CPU. Don't imagine that will be any different with 920.
