DHCP Server essentially turns your DiskStation into a DHCP server within your LAN network which allows you to assign dynamic IP addresses and manage DHCP clients. 28.02.2016 · You can now test it out by stopping any other DHCP servers you have running, probably on your broadband router, and then start up your one on the Synology diskstation. It's found under Control Panel -> DHCP Server. Highlight your active interface and then Edit. Then you will find a DHCP Server tab.
