29.06.2021 · I understand DSM 7.0 will be released officially on 29 June, and once upgrading from DSM 6.2 is accomplished, there will be no going back. Even though the DSM 7.0 "official" version likely will be virtually identical to DSM 7.0 RC with some tweaks, I've seen comments on this forum suggesting that the RC version is not yet ready for prime time.

(Tested and confirmed) If installing DSM 7.0 from scratch you may not use any disks not on the compatibilty list of Synology's server list.
