I have had other router (e.g. Asus, Netgear, Belkin) that never get security updates let alone interface/application updates.

Jan 12, 2019 · Thanks all for the replies. Will be waiting then till Synology comes out with router supporting WiFi 6 (802.11ax). As mentioned, I have a current Wi-Fi router that is working, just getting old (Wi-Fi 4 to keep with the new naming, 802.11n for everyone else) and not supported anymore (Apple Airport Extreme). Just time for replacement but I can wait.
