1. Re: Difficulty of Skiing for Newbies. Our family has been skiing Taos for 28 years, (just back last week) and I would definitely recommend their ski school. I personally do not ski any longer (bad knee) and cannot remember the specifics of whitefeather, so I cannot answer that question.

On my first visit to Taos Ski Valley – only my second time skiing – it was all I could do to navigate Honeysuckle with decent control (it had several inches of fresh powder, which I hadn’t encountered before). On my second visit, after skiing elsewhere a couple of times, I handled several blues without difficulty.
