Mar 03, 2017 · specific for backups, doesn't include the partition table (it's unnecessary for backup disks and presents with 100GB more than normal formatting on a 2TB HDD). But software like timeshift checks the disk in a way that is not compatible with the absence of the partition table. I've added the partition table and now it works.
