Most of the VMs are stored on a NFS-share, as this seemed to be an easy and usable solution at the time of installation. And actually it works quite well, but Snapshots via qcow2 aren't always nice to work with and there... clicks. Thread.

www.reddit.com › r › ProxmoxProxMox is awesome and you can simply run docker instances inside one or more VM's, but TrueNAS SCALE supports docker natively afaik. Also my experience with TrueNAS is that it goes better with your storage and backups. ProxMox does better with pure virtualization but the backup stuff is... i'm not a fan personally.
