I did a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10 and sudo apt-get install xrdp which worked. Connect/logon is OK but I get a blank screen.

I got the same problem and after many tries I solved it by: 1) Removing xrdp. $sudo apt-get remove xrdp. 2) Reinstall xrdp.
