Jul 23, 2014 · Not sure if Linux Mint fits your criteria but I was having problems installing Linux Lite on a new Lenovo Yoga 300 because it has Windows 10 upgrade I needed a Distro with UEFI 64 bit . I was pointed to Linux Mint 17.2 with Xfce as used by Lite . I put it on a USB drive and it installed worked out of the box .

Answer (1 of 2): It depends on what you want to get out of it. All systems can work with UEFI the only thing you need to watch for configuring the boot loader with it.

Install a Linux distro that fully supports secure boot - they do exist. Ubuntu comes to mind.

As of July 2013 still very poor support for UEFI in all Linux distro's more than 12 months after it came to market in PC's. This month I tried a brand new custom built PC with Ubuntu & all of its derivatives with no success to install except Kubuntu but it was extremely unstable to the point of uselessness (probably a fluke it installed at all).

TL;DR; I need a UEFI compatible distro, preferably similar to Linux Mint. Let me start by saying I am in NO WAY a linux master, half the stuff on this subreddit I don't understand, but that doesn't keep me away.
