Mar 29, 2019 · Veeam identifies the VMs with unique VMware IDs. If you are using vCenter and migrate the VMs to a new host that is part of the same vCenter cluster, it retains those IDs. If you don't backup that way, then the VMs get new IDs regardless of IPs or names.

29.03.2019 · Not sure if this is your issue, but thought I'd share this info if helpful. I rebuilt my vcenter from scratch and added my hosts. I didn't upgrade vCenter, so I humbly had to redo all my backups. It is interesting you say that, that could explain why I can back them up on seperate jobs but can't cluster them into an existing backup group.
