14.02.2020 · With Microsoft depreciating basic authentication for Exchange Online in October 2020 I raised a support case to check if this would affect our tenants backups currently using basic authentication. It now sounds like this will affect all backups no matter if they are using basic or modern authentication, as both still utilise some kind of basic auth on the 365 side.
