16.10.2014 · Steps to fix the issue: Log on to Guest VM, press Start > Run > regedit. Navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\RPC\INTERNET. Export this key to back it up first, then delete the whole Internet key (and it's sub-keys). Reboot your system and run Veeam job once again.

02.05.2012 · VM won't backup. I have three VM's in our lab. All three on the single host with the same storage. All VM's are in the same data store. Using ESX 4.0 on the host. I use Veeam for backups and two of the three VM's back up just fine. The third fails every time. I am able to migrate this machine without any errors.

22.02.2015 · Cannot add volume to the set of volumes that should be shadowed. VSS error: VSS_E_UNEXPECTED_PROVIDER_ERROR. Code:0x8004230f. A quick google on VSS error: VSS_E_UNEXPECTED_PROVIDER_ERROR showed up Veeam KB article 1785. As you can see there is a Backup Exec VSS Provider.
