18.06.2015 · It would seem that I have a work around until a more permanent solution is found. If I amend the power settings in the registry entry a change the value for AcSettingIndex from the default 120 (2 mins) to 1800 (30 mins) and then introduce a task to wake up the computer 5 mins prior to the backup this seems to be enough to ensure that the backup succeeds.
