The storage metadata informs Veeam Backup & Replication which blocks within the backup file belong to which file that was backed up. It is stored within the backup file twice for redundancy, and only one entry is ever modified at a time.

That is pretty easy to understand, the continuous job has an interval in which it is supposed to complete x number of copies and it didn't.

I guess that's four questions - the overall question is 'how do I explain a failure that is also a success in relation to a Veeam backup copy job?'.
