A bit more digging on our own we found the solution: - In Hyper-V Manager, in the Settings window for the VM, under the 'Management' section, there is an 'Integration Services' option. Under there you can check/un-check different items. One of those items is 'Backup (volume snapshot)'.

Steps to fix the issue: Log on to Guest VM, press Start > Run > regedit Navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\RPC\INTERNET Export this key to back it up first, then delete the whole Internet key (and it's sub-keys). Reboot your system and run Veeam job once again

03.05.2018 · I had the same issue after creating a new Server 2016 Hyper-V Host. It turned out that when I created a backup job it has assigned the Host administrator login to the VMs, which have a different administrator login. Going into Guest Processing > Credentials > Set User and assigning a username and password to the individual VMs has fixed this!
