But an immutable Azure object storage and offloading the latest restore point (with a large GFS retention of course to protect against long time insiders) should fullfill out purpose. Top.

Veeam V11 immutable backups! I've read the news about the fresh feature with immutable backups in V11. I'm really interested in this as it will remove the manual labor in changing USB-drives. Right now we also does off site backups to our secondary office via VPN. We have a NAS and run a copy job.

20.08.2020 · With existing Wasabi's immutability support - you can achieve similar effect of your backups, you could write Veeam backups to an immutable Wasabi bucket - You may have to work the period you need the objects locked in a bucket. We'd be happy to work with you to come up with a solution that would work for your storage needs.

While in a WORM state, data cannot be modified or deleted for a user-specified interval. By configuring immutability policies for blob data, you can protect your data from overwrites and deletes.

Veeam requires Immutability at the Object not Bucket level, unless you are only writing independant full backups with no chain. Only Amazon S3 at the minute offers object level immutability, coming 'Q4' to wasabi, no announcement yet from azure. 2 level 1 rubmahbelly · 1y This is not supported.
