Before proceeding, make sure no backup jobs are currently running. Open the Veeam Backup console and access the General Options.
If you're using Veeam, there's a good chance your self-signed certificate expires in early January. If you want to keep backups from being interrupted, perhaps while you're still on vacation due to the holidays, I suggest looking to verify you're affected by this bug and update your certificate. https://www.veeam.com/kb2806

14.11.2016 · After generating a new certificate as per KB2806 the server & the (local) jobs worked fine. But all agent jobs failed with an certificate error. I managed to get the agent backup jobs to work again by deleting all Veeam Server certificates from the certificate store of the backup server and reissued a new certificate as per KB2806.

05.12.2018 · With Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3, all traffic are encrypted with a default certificate, if you did not change it. The default certificate has are expiring after 12 month, and since it’s about 12 mount since Update 3 was released this certificate is now about to expire, and you will get this warning when opening the console.
