As said in another comment, workload can mean a VM, Physical Server, Workstation, NAS data, etc all equal to 1 instance/workload except for workstations. Veeam's solution for an enterprise level is Veeam Availability Suite and can be licensed via Veeam Universal License where 1 license = 10 workloads.
