May 17, 2010 · The ReFS is formatted with 4k cluster size as that is what was recommended to me previously, but I see current recommendation now seems to be 64k which is slightly annoying as the volumes are now setup. We are using Veeam 9.5 and the Veeam server and Repo are the same server which is running Server 2016.

17.03.2017 · Reformatted my DAS Array with a 128k stripe and 64k ReFS block size. I’ve seen on average a 50% decrease in job run time, both for D2D and D2Tape. Disk space utilization also seems to be better. The one concern I have is Veeam focusing on Storage Spaces Direct.
