I personally believe they are actually doing a "full" not an incremental and verifying it which is why it takes so long. My first backup I had to kill 2 times because of how long it was running.
Hi everyone ! I have a weird problem with my backups and replicas in Veeam 9.5. Once a week, my replicas do a calculating digests on each VM and It take while. Like 7 hours for 1To... First, it happened just after that my full backups were done. So, I thought it was the reason and I decided to do replica first, then backup of the VM.
28.08.2018 · After moving to a new VC (and running the migration tool from support) and remapping our VMs, I knew to expect a 'calculating disk digests', but these seem painfully slow, even to the extent that I am wondering whether a new full replication might be quicker. We have two VMs which are each about 3 TB, made up of 6 x 512GB VHDs.
18.09.2012 · Digest re-calc after moving VMs between replication jobs. Current scenario (assume valid restore points already existing for each VM at the target site). Using Veeam 6.1.0.181 for the Backup Server and both Source and Target Proxies. The requirement is to move VM03 from Job #1 to Job #2 due to runtime scheduling and use of a slow WAN link.
I am wondering if there is a setting in the job that is making Veeam ... the CBT errors my jobs are now hanging on "Calculating digests for Hard disk" for ...
08.04.2009 · Calculating Digests really slow - normal? Did a Veeam backup to USB disk, restored at target site. Setup replication jobs to replicate the VM's, the jobs run REALLY slowly - eg; hard disk 1 is 15GB, it took 16 hours to calculate digests then 35 minutes to replicate the changes. The 2nd hard disk is 150GB in size its been calculating digests for ...
