The VNC server is only available after you have logged in to Jetson locally. If you wish VNC to be available automatically, use the system settings application on your developer kit to enable automatic login.

When I connect, all I get is a blank, black screen (and a short popup mentions that someone has remotely connected to the machine). I can also see the remote cursor. 14.07.2019 · First, stop trying to use Cinnamon on the server and went for Xfce. Installed TigerVNC and copied the most recent binary release over it. Run vncserver once so it can self configure. At this point, when trying to connect I just got a black screen, but no errors!!! That is good hahahaha

The server would run, but then connecting to vncviewer would show the black screen as mentioned above. The solution: Launching x0vncserver from a terminal window on the host gnome environment. I use this configuration with win2vnc, so I get dual monitor Windows + 3rd monitor linux side-by-side with one keyboard and mouse.
