08.05.2008 · Hi I just seemed to have a similar problem with a Vista host, VMWare Workstation 6 and a fedora 7 guest. After enabling shared folders in VMWare and enabling sharing of the nominated folder on the Vista host, I solved the problem by re-installing VMWare tools, this was a little accidental, but it did the trick.
