Merged C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\Enhanced Authentication Plug-in 6.5 into registry. Before doing all above, "Use Windows session authentication" was greyed out but now it is clickable. However after clicking it reports "Invalid Credentials" While VMware is trying to fix in next release, is there any KB article for work around so far.

24.02.2017 · Well I have the answer for you here. 🙂 Now that you've finished installing or upgrading to vSphere 6.5, no matter what browser you use, IE, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, the damn checkbox for the Enhanced Authentication Plugin won't show up and the link to download it is still there.

10.02.2021 · Save the plug-in to your computer, and run the executable. Step through the installation wizard for both the VMware Enhanced Authentication Plug-in and the VMware Plug-in Service which are run in succession. When the installations are complete, refresh your browser. The link to download the plug-in disappears from the login page.

Feb 10, 2021 · The Enhanced Authentication Plug-in can function seamlessly if you already have the Client Integration Plug-in installed on your system from vSphere 6.0 or earlier. There are no conflicts if both plug-ins are installed. Install the plug-in only once to enable all the functionality the plug-in delivers.
