However, some older versions of services may not fully support this function. We recommend to always update to the service's latest version to ensure security and compatibility with 2FA.

To enable 2-factor authentication: Go to Personal > Account and click 2-Factor Authentication to launch the setup wizard. Enter your password to continue. If you have already signed in to Synology Account in Control Panel > Synology Account, you can select from either Approve sign-in, hardware security key, or OTP for the second sign-in step.
