Addons are a very user-friendly feature of most online games. Albion is lacking many QoL things which we, the community, could easily add without distracting you from your main focus on new content. Like damage meter, repositioning the HUD, fame collection counter, even things like a DND on whispering, and much much more.

Maybe the ability to customize your UI, but addons to help with crafting/farming etc, is just another way or removing the fun (if you want to call it that) from the game.

When WoW was made, it was made using Lua scripts and it's game Engine, so that way the developers could work on big elements of the game, and the scripters could work on the in-game elements such as NPCs and mobs.
