I have emailed Albion Online support to see if I can get an answer from them but it seems really strange that people are unable to change the primary email address of the account they created (there must be a decent reason for this, perhaps to stop people trading accounts in the first place but it is certainly quite annoying).
Update: They sent me another email saying that they looked over the info I provided and it does match and therefore changed my email address associated with my albion account. When they told me they would not change it, I went to paypal to initiate a chargeback.
