End game in wow is grinding stuff endlessly to get 0.000001% drop chance items etc. Here items are mostly craftable or can be acquired without endless grinding. The risk is bigger though, when you go out to get those materials and stuff, you risk everything you're wearing. So PVP is the very essence of this type of sandbox game.
So the endgame as a guild leader should be GvG territory battles(ZvZ) cGvG mage raids, ... But that is the starting spot for what you do with all that. Having PvE as an end game does create a large demand on developers to keep puting out content for players to get through. Now im not saying that you wont PvE at the supposed "End Game" but playing through the game just to PvE at the "end" isnt what they are going for.
