What is CAAHEP? The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs is the largest programmatic accreditor of the health sciences professions. In collaboration with its Committees on Accreditation, CAAHEP reviews and accredits over 2100 individual education programs in 32 health science occupations.

The Standards are approved by the CAAHEP Board of Directors and are subject to review every five years. The Standards review process is a rigorous one that includes, input from the communities of interest, a public open hearing, and approval by the Committee on Accreditation (CoA) and its sponsoring organization(s).
