I recommend startpage which is an EU/Netherlands based company that acts as a gateway between you and Google, so you get Google search results, but Google doesn't know you and can't track you (SP promise that they won't either), or searx as a good, non-tracking meta-engine. I have to admit that I haven't yet really tried Qwant.

So I tried duckduckgo for the last week and I saw the same pattern as with google. If you click on the link, the link changes to a different link which just redirects to the page you wanted but it also gives the abiltiy to track on which links the users click. For example I search for reddit.
