28.11.2019 · Nedan finns en liten nätskiss som visar hur jag kopplat, relevant konfiguration för EdgeRouter-X (tror inte jag missat något iaf) samt relevant VLAN konfiguration i min Netgear switch som STB är kopplad mot. Denna lösning kräver ingen Multicast/IGMP konfiguration och man behöver inte heller lägga till eth0 (WAN-interfacet) i switch0.

It coincided with when i updated my Edgerouter X to v2.0.9 from v1.10.11. It had previously worked but suddenly stopped, even though the previous rules and setting for IGMP-Proxy were still in place. The simplest solution for me was to roll back to v1.10.11, after which is started working straight away.

You might need to make sure the switch has a IGMP “querier” running on it too if your router is not a querier. As far as I understand it there’s two parts to IGMP snooping 1) the snooping which does the filtering and 2) the querier/mrouter which send out igmp reports that all the multicast listeners respond to which keeps the switch from filtering the stream to that port.

05.01.2022 · Zodra ik deze Edgerouter-X voorzie van de firmware versie 2.0.9 hotfix 1 of hotfix 2, dan loopt het KPN TV kastje binnen 1 minuut na opstarten vast. Beeld blijft hangen en geluid valt weg. Ik heb ook na een uurtje de "IGMP Proxy server" via CLI van de Edgerouter X herstart. Ook dat gaf geen verandering.
