16.09.2013 · I am trying to use Euler's theorem for calculating the following: $$ 8^{7} mod 187 $$ I have determined that: $$ \\phi(187) = \\phi(11*17) = 160 $$ and $$ 8^{7} = 8^{4} * 8^{2} * 8^{1} $$ but am unfortunately confused about how to now proceed beyond this point. Thank you.

Euler's work in this area led to the development of the prime number theorem. Number theory. Euler's interest in number theory can be traced to the influence of Christian Goldbach, his friend in the St. Petersburg Academy. Much of Euler's early work on number theory was based on the work of Pierre de Fermat.

Euler’s Formula and De Moiver’s Theorem We know about complex numbers(z). They are of the form z=a+ib, where a and b are real numbers and ‘i’ is the solution of equation x²=-1. No real number can satisfy this equation hence its solution that is ‘i’ is called an imaginary number. When a complex exponential is […]

Euler's Totient φ(n) Calculator - Online Phi Function
https://www.dcode.fr/euler-totient
Euler Phi totient calculator computes the value of Phi (n) in several ways, the best known formula is φ(n)=n∏ p∣n(1− 1 p) φ ( n) = n ∏ p ∣ n ( 1 − 1 p) where p p is a prime factor which divides n n. To calculate the value of the Euler indicator/totient, the first step is to find the prime factor decomposition of n n.

Using Euler's form it is simple: This formula is derived from De Moivre's formula: n-th degree root. From De Moivre's formula, n nth roots of z (the power of 1/n) are given by:, there are n roots, where k = 0..n-1 - a root integer index. The roots can be displayed on the complex plane as regular polygon vertexes.
