I have 8 GB of RAM and A virtual machine fails to start even sometimes with 1 GB of ram or less. Most of them are occupied. I tried disabling startup apps but the result remains the same.
22.12.2013 · Not enough memory in the system to start the virtual machine server 2012 r2 session vdi with ram size 5858 megabytes. (Virtual machine ID xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxx).. The physical server has 8gb ram, and 5858mb set for the virtual machine (the maximum it gives the option for).

Apr 06, 2018 · First, not sure what you mean 'standby' memory. With Hyper-V, memory is assigned to any running VM, including ones that are paused. Memory is grabbed when the VM starts up (whether from off or from saved), and is released when the VM is stopped (either saved or fully off).

Except it can't. To be more accurate, task manager reports the following memory situation:- In use - 4.8GB Available - 11.0 GB Committed - 7.5/21.9GB Cached - 10.8GB

Feb 05, 2014 · I have a Window 8.1 host trying to start a virtual machine through Hyper-V. The VM is configure to use 10GB of RAM, I have 16GB, it should start but it doesn't. Instead I get the message '{VM NAME}' could not initialise. Not Enough Memory in the system to start the virtual machine {VM NAME} The host has 16GB RAM, of which only 4.8GB is in use.
