If dual booting with windows than shrink the hard drive and then install next to Windows and just follow the prompts. I've never used a Samsung SSD, but sometimes on Intel SSDs updating firmware can solve a lot of issues. Thanks for the reply. I've tried using Disks, but it also failed.

Here you need to add mount point to Lubuntu partition you created ( usually / ). I couldn't find this in gparted. Make sure you don't select format partition during installation.
