I thought the same, and then I discovered manjaro. It's more than two years now. If I search for other distro to try they need to have: easy install, aur access, plasma desktop, rolling release with pretty new software, and of course be stable for everyday use.

I have been thinking of writing a review of my experience with linux and coming back to Linux after 15 years with both Windows and Mac OS. Where would be fitting to post such a review? 15 years ago I used Ubuntu but what dragged me back in was Manjaro Budgie. I am very happy with my experience so far.

29.10.2020 · Manjaro is based on Arch Linux and inherits many elements of Arch Linux but it is a very distinct project. Unlike Arch Linux, almost everything is pre-configured in Manjaro. This makes it one of the most user-friendly Arch-based distributions. A lot of new users get attracted to this idea and I can’t blame them.

I then installed Manjaro Budgie (if you remember my Solus review, I really liked Budgie but felt it sluggish, so I wanted to try it on Manjaro,) and decided to use the LUKS built-in encryption in the installer.
