If by snappier, you mean faster, then XFCE is. But you’re comparing apples and oranges. Manjaro is a Linux distro and there are several desktop environments you can choose from when you install it. Xfce and KDE are desktop environments and are available on many/most distros.

Manjaro Xfce and KDE Plasma both are excellent choices as desktop environments. If you want to work on a lightweight, minimalist, less resource-intensive desktop, then Manjaro Xfce is a better option for you. However, it would be best to go for the KDE Plasma desktop environment to enjoy a beautiful and customizable desktop environment.

As for XFCE, I found it too unpolished and more simple than it should. KDE is by far better than anything else (including any OS) in my opinion.
