Nvidia keeps up well with changes in the Linux kernel, there's usually a working driver package available the moment a new kernel version is released. The open-source driver for Nvidia is the worst.

As someone whos run multiple AMD GPUs over the years for Linux gaming, I would highly recommend sticking with the open source drivers. AMDGPU-Pro doesn't support Arch/Manjaro and is actually slower with gaming (except for a select few Vulkan titles) so the really isn't a good reason to run them.
