Pamac uses the system network - if your system works - e.g. internet browser using the proxy - then Pamac will work as well as it requires no special settings.

I tried all kinds of methods: set the http_proxy and https_proxy in /etc/environment. set .bashrc for both root user and current user. use gsettings to set gnome proxy. None of those works.
