Recently I installed Manjaro with BTRFS and Grub. It appears that timeshift-autosnap and grub-btrfs came fully functional out of the box. So every time I update my system, timeshift automatically takes a snapshot which is then displayed under manjaro snapshots in grub boot menu.

All Manjaro with timeshift is configured to do is allow you to easily roll back. Very useful for example if you plan to change configurations that could break your setup, or if an upgrade goes sideways. However, snapshots alone do not do backups. To do that, you need to "send" the snapshot to another btrfs filesystem.

Timeshift supports BTRFS snapshots, but not backups. A snapshot is taken from the ... I use above combination on 5 machines running Manjaro.
