Manjaro/Arch are good distros, and I enjoyed them. My move to Pop! just represents my jadedness with the kind of extra research and precaution I constantly needed to accomplish one thing. Pop! for me “just works”, has a great out of the box Gnome tiling manager, and has a very kind community.

Hey guys! Thinking about using Linux only.(Currently dualbooting Debian) So I will want a distro that can be used for gaming and coding. After looking for a while I narrowed the search down to manjaro, which is based on Arch and Pop OS by System 76, which is based on Ubuntu, thus is based on Debian.

Manjaro has more DE ISOs, whereas on Pop you have to install them once you have your system set up. On a side note, Pop's Gnome implementation is really good. If i had to chose, i'll stick with Pop, but if you want more chances of making a stubborn game work under Linux, Manjaro, its rolling release and the AUR are your best bet.

After gaming on POP OS, I cant bear playing on windows anymore. Linux has definitely won me over, lightweight. Easily customizable, fun to learn and decent for games at the expense of no multiplayer (for now). I switched back to windows ten for a few hours and its so disgustingly slow and clunky even gaming.

Gaming will be the same on either and Photoshop will run like ass on both because it's a Windows program and Wine doesn't work miracles. Switch to Manjaro if you're comfortable maintaining a rolling release and fancy a change of scenery. Otherwise stay on Pop.
