24.03.2021 · I also had problems with slow Nextcloud in the beginning. In my case, it was related to a bad installation of Collabora Online. If your installation does not recognize the built in CODE server, it will get very slow. Try to deactivate the two Collabora apps, and see if it gets better.

05.12.2020 · Seems clear that Nextcloud was constantly trying to establish a connection that was broken and that that was causing CPU load spikes. Turn off the apps, performance resumes, so problem diagnosed. If you look around a bit, one of the things that gets recommended a lot with Nextcloud is to run top/htop and observe what's happening.

14.01.2019 · There is an Nextcloud-App called Preview-Generator which shifts the on demand load of preview generating to an interval (10 Minutes) based preview generating for new pictures. This speeds opening pictures up because there is no demand to generate a preview but due to IO limitation is loading of picture-previews in the Gallery-App still slow.
