12.11.2021 · Set up SMTP Relay in Office 365. To set up an SMTP Relay we first need to know the public IP Address of the network where the device is located. If you want to use SMTP Relay for your local multifunctional (scanner), then just open the browser and visit myip.com. Note the IP Address, we will need that later. Open the Exchange Admin Center.

02.04.2020 · If you have MFA enabled for your account, then you can’t use your normal password to authenticate the Office 365 SMTP settings. You will need to create an App Password for this. Another option is to use the Direct Send option that I will describe later on.

Apr 08, 2021 · A client of mine recently changed IT providers, and in doing so, recreated their Office 365 setup (including Sharepoint and Outlook). When they did this, they turned on MFA (multi-factor authentication) as default. In doing this, it seems they have somehow blocked my application from sending emails through the SMTP server under their users.
AFAIK, MFA wont be supported in SMTPMail setup because, the underlying code uses the Username Password combination to trigger an email from Business Central.
