after updating to the latest trunk dhcp (dnsmasq) stop working after router reboot. to fix it you need to login and manually restart the service. i see no log issues. at first start dnsmasq open 53 (dns) port and no 67 (dhcpd) port. after restart service it come back normally. i tried to use 'froce 1' option on my lan segment, have no affect.

Dec 30, 2017 · After reinstalling the firmware, restore works. Thanks everybody for help. today I used the restore function with newest service release (reboot) and had the same problem. The solution was to reset all values in Luci before restore the old settings. It seems that restore works only with "clean" (reset) configuration.

Redirect on firstboot to our wizard is not working anymore. URL is fine but you end up with an login form. Seems related to openwrt/luci@ff65318. They changed parameters from username and password to luci_username and luci_password.

From wiki: "Reading Flash Layout, you should understand, that the OpenWrt failsafe can help you with any problems referring to the JFFS2 partition if you have a SquashFS image installed!" The firstboot command normally reports "Unlocking rootfs_data … Erasing rootfs_data …" but on 15.05 the command does not display any output and appears to hang. Doing another failsafe boot and mounting the root partition shows the original configuration files still in place and not reset to defaults.-Tim Miller Dyck
