20.04.2020 · op的hwnat不是mtk官方写的，不稳定也正常。看5.4内核重写hwnat会不会好点吧。现在要用hwnat还是别用op了。 请问目前还有哪个支持hwnat的开源的系统靠谱点儿？padavan？ mtk的第三方固件就OP PADAVAN还有潘多拉。另外两个的hwnat都是用的mtk官方sdk的代码

I seem to read that the latest versions of openwrt support hw nat. Has anyone tried them? Is it 100% working?

Openwrt, being designed to be modular and work across a range of devices, cannot use the same framework. If you want hw-nat, use the stock firmware. Nowadays, I stick with gargoyle based on OPENWRT, but overclock the router cpu to 800 mhz. Best would be to run a low power x86 PC, much less hassle and no cpu limitation.

Actually, most of routers cannot activate hardware acceleration when using openwrt firmware. Because openwrt is using opensource driver. opensourced drivers doesn’t contain acceleration feature. The only exception is mt7621a driver. You will see hardware accleration (offloading) check box, but it’s not working actually!
