10.11.2021 · Accessing LuCI web interface securely If you are doing admin things via LuCI web interface, there is a risk that a user of your OpenWrt network is sniffing your traffic. You are at risk of giving away your LuCI web credentials to attacker. There are some ways to mitigate this risk.

I just upgraded my OpenWrt router from Attitude Adjustment (12.09) to Barrier Breaker (14.07) on my TP-Link WDR3600.

20.04.2018 · The upgrade appeared to work. The device is at it's old settings. I was not able to access it via LuCi so I reinstalled it and rebooted the device. I can access it via Putty and WinSCP. I am still unable to access LuCi, but now noticed the message (in Chrome) ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. I do see LuCi for a brief second before this message appears.

There are many methods of doing this, I chose the GUI way in the web interface LuCi. I downloaded the new firmware, uploaded it via LuCi, it flashed successfully and rebooted. My config files were preserved and all of my devices reconnected successfully.

When the connection opens, port 8080 on your PC is a tunnel to port 80 on the router. So leave the SSH session open and go to your web browser localhost:8080.

Can't get https access to Luci. I've "Enable automatic redirection of HTTP requests to HTTPS port." Save & Apply, also checked /etc/config/uhttpd have the line "option redirect_https 'on'. 27.02.2021 · The image file I've used is openwrt-19.07.6-ath79-generic-tplink_archer-c60-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin After update, it was not possible to connect to the LUCI web interface. SSH and SCP are available, so I could configure the router as DumbAP. It works. But everytime I try to do the HTTP request to LUCI, I get ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED.
