11.01.2020 · I’m coming up on 2 weeks with OpenWRT and my wireless speeds continue to be very good. The wireless link speed in the network settings is showing 866 Mb/s (compared to around 170 when I was using IPFire) and the internet download speeds range between 380 - 600 Mbps (compared with only 200 for IPFire). Lucky you.

Apr 15, 2021 · Stick with OpenWRT. If you need more - rather setup another small dedicated box or SBC, e.g. with PiHole or IPFire. It will safe you lots and lots of nightmare. If you really want to give either *Sense a try choose a stable OS like Proxmox VE (which, ironically runs on Debian) and run either of them in a VM.
