May 27, 2020 · The first hard drive varies in size per node, but is used for Proxmox. The second drive 500GB per system is used for Ceph. This allows me to do HA and migrate VM's to different nodes. I run a SSH jumphost, Nginx Reverse Proxy, Nextcloud, and WireGuard from home, and also testing out k8s on 3 seperate VM's. I'll be happy to answer any questions

Also, think about how you wan't to assure QOS for your Node (s) networks, especially Proxmox-Cluster (most important), Ceph-Public and Ceph-Network. (in some situations it makes sense to buy 2x 10G switches (poor mans QOS) instead of 1x10G switch that is capable of propper QOS.

I have a 3-node cluster and have setup Ceph today, but I am having issues with Ceph when I lose a node. The storage becomes unusable. It is extremely quick when all nodes are up, though. Each node has 2 1TB SSDs for a total of 6 OSDs used. I set the number of replicas to 2 and min replicas is also 2. pg count is 128.
