I'm vaguely aware that I'll need to edit fstab to ensure the directories are mounted automatically when I restart the server but don't understand how I go about doing this.

I set the NFS share to hold Containers, then I added a new disk image to the PBS CT, and located it in the NFS share. Then I set that mount point up as the data store in pbs.

I am trying to run it within a VM for testing, and drop the backup files on the same Synology as previous with the old backup way. I created a new share, mounted it in the vm via cifs in etc/fstab. Aug 26, 2016 · so long story short, I don't know why the nfs-server.service is failing to load. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: RESOLVED I had to install the package nfs-kernel-server. Also the correct service to start was not nfs-server.service, it was actually nfs-kernel-server.service
