Sep 04, 2020 · FWIW- i have qnap 251D sitting behind my computer/server, which (the computer) runs a Nextcloud install. The NAS is mapped so that it’s accessible through Nextcloud. It’s been low maintenance and it’s no trouble making use of it.

Hey OP, can I ask you about Nextcloud more generally and sneak in some QNAP info of mine in-between? This thread got me thinking. One functionality I really need on my QNAP is a Google Photos backup and browsing replacement for the whole family (we are mostly degoogled, this is the one major aspect i haven't solved satisfactorily yet).

I've used T&M Hansson 2TB Nextcloud image on my QNAP in Virtualization Station. I've installed it multiple times and it works great but one new issue is really driving me crazy. Nextcloud VM seems to stop responding during the night even though the VM is running as it should and Virtualization Station isn't reporting any issues.

09.08.2017 · My Nextcloud installation is operating on a QNAP-TS253A. After evaluating several options I have decided to go a for a VM based on a Ubuntu Linux OS (Lubuntu to be exact) and simply installed the available Nextcloud snap. Works fine for me since ~ 6 month. Perceived performance compared to a Nextcloud on a Raspberry 3 is a lot better.
