Jul 27, 2017 · It appears that with Veeam Linux agent v3 it now has a feature called "Snapshot-Less File-Level Backup". So if you deploy a linux machine, install the veeam agent for linux and mount the NFS/CIFS share/s from your QNAP (you should be able to backup files). I have not tested this but this feature they introduced should make it possible.

24.02.2014 · Basicly the qnap is just a linux box, so it is supported bij veeam. The only problem is that it is a very stripped version of linux. For now i will use it as a stupid smb store, if i had known this is wat qnap calls veeam support, i would have search for another solution probably. It is a waste of network resources.
